How do I install Kodi add-ons?

Previously known as XBMC, Kodi is now a free media player application that runs on a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS. It is an open-source project developed by the XBMC Foundation. You can view movies, live sports, TV programs, and more on Kodi for free by installing different add-ons.

What is a Kodi add-on?

Kodi itself is devoid of content. It enables you to view information stored on your computer or on the Internet. To stream a variety of different types of internet content, you’ll need to install several Kodi audio and video add-ons. Additionally, Kodi provides Skins that let you customize the Kodi interface, as well as web interfaces for remote control of Kodi. There are several add-ons in a variety of categories. That is why Kodi is so popular worldwide.

Along with add-ons developed by the official Kodi team, such as iPlayer, YouTube, and Fox Sports GO, there are hundreds more available from a variety of sources. Numerous examples include Exodus, Netflix, and Genesis Reborn. Through third-party add-ons, Kodi enables users to stream movies and television programs, as well as listen to music.

Not all add-ons, however, are accessible in all countries where Kodi is available. You may need a virtual private network to circumvent geo-restrictions. To view your favorite TV episodes and films on Kodi through its add-ons, we recommend using a VPN service to bypass geo-blocks.

What is the purpose of a Kodi repository?

Simply described, a Kodi Repository is a container for one or more Kodi add-ons. Typically, a Kodi repository is compressed into a zip file. To install a Kodi add-on, you must first install a Kodi repository containing the desired add-on. As a result, whenever the add-on makes an update, it will be updated automatically.
